Didn't use the ferry, but watched cars being loaded from my balcony at the hotel right across the street (Rockland Harbor Hitel). Fun to watch.

Nice boat ride in the fog. Got a car and the crew (theirs and ours) all safely to the island and back. Beautiful views as the fog rolled in.

The boats arrive on time and the staff are professional, courteous and friendly. There is overnight parking for people wanting to take the ferry and vehicles can also be taken on the ferries at some cost I assume. …

Great comfortable ferry service to Vinalhaven and Northhaven (also known as the Fox Islands) from Rockland Harbor. About 1.5 hours one-way and departs from both ends several times a day. This is a real working ferry. Charming island small town with shops and a few parks with hiking to good views from island high points.

Great experience, took the Ferry just for the day. Off the beaten path trip to Vinalhaven on a gorgeous day is totally worth it. Leave your car behind, or you'll have to make return reservations 24h before.

The office facility and ferry were both well maintained, clean, and staffed by friendly, helpful people. Both trips were very efficiently loaded and unloaded, and both were on time. Excellent

We took the ferry from Rockland to vinalhaven. Trip time about 75 minutes. There and back during peak season is 17 roundtrip. If you have no car, no reservations are necessary. Social distancing was handled well and staff were …
